Being a mom for a week-WHAT?!?

“I’ve never done this before.” no longer works as an excuse when there is no one to say it to because you are the “mom.” This is what I learned from the week I spent babysitting/house sitting. One of my teachers (who I often baby sit for) when out of the country for a vacation, so I spent the night with the two children at their house, it was a 24/7 deal. My sister helped me when she wasn’t at work, and my mom helped one afternoon when I wasn’t feeling so great. But other than that, it was just the three of us. I did a lot of cooking and cleaning and, of course, some chillin’ too. :)
After this experience, I have learned that no amount of money is equal to being a mom. No payment is worthy. I have learned that I don’t want to have children until I am married (for many reasons) especially because I don’t think I could handle raising a child without someone else’s full time help and support.
